VSO is an international development organisation, uniquely working through skilled and experienced volunteers to fight poverty and disadvantage in 44 of the poorest countries across the world. The organisation has a turnover of £60m and employs 250 people in London and a further 450 in over 40 international program offices.
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to work in our head office in Putney, London. Duties will include maintaining purchase ledger, processing expense claims, processing payments, verifying correct coding and petty cash.
The successful candidate will be friendly and customer-focused and be able to communicate to staff at all levels. With good attention to detail and high level of accuracy they will have understanding of a large computerised accounting system (VSO operates with Sun Systems).
Previous experience as a purchase ledger is essential. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right person to contribute to the continued improvement of the purchase ledger function within a rewarding and ambitious department. This position would suit someone who is interested in growing in the organisation.
